High Shoals Falls is a picturesque waterfall located in the eastern part of the Pisgah National Forest near the town of High Shoals, North Carolina in Burke County.  The Falls is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The trail to the falls offers scenic views and a chance to experience the natural beauty of the area.

The falls have a total drop of approximately 80 feet (24 meters). The waterfall cascades in multiple tiers, creating a picturesque and dramatic effect.  I found myself absorbed in all the beauty prior to reaching the main falls.  I could easily spend an entire week photographing the area and not capture all its splendor.

 Easily the most impressive area thus far, humbled as I continue to capture biophilic art, courtesy of the great state of North Carolina.
